Sharp Launches Next Generation Color Workgroup Document Systems

MAHWAH, NJ, August 13, 2008 -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) today announced the availability of two new second-generation color workgroup series MFPs: the MX-2600N and the MX-3100N. Offering businesses affordable, high-quality color combined with innovative features to streamline document workflow, these second-generation models raise the bar on performance with a faster microprocessor and enhanced paper handling to offer color and monochrome speeds of 26ppm (MX-2600N) and 31ppm (MX-3100N). The MX-2600N and MX-3100N take MFP functionality and user friendliness to new levels with a standard retractable keyboard and a large 8.5-inch high-resolution touchscreen color display for easy menu navigation and data entry.

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America Expands Direct, Local Sales Operations with Sharp Business Systems of New Jerse

MAHWAH, NJ, August 11, 2008 -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) continues to expand its direct regional sales operation with the opening of a new Sharp Business Systems (SBS) branch in New Jersey. SIICA purchased New Jersey-based Business World, Inc. to strategically grow its resources and continue to support the burgeoning market in New Jersey.

MAHWAH, NJ, August 11, 2008 -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) today announced it has once again expanded its direct regional sales operation with the opening of a new Sharp Business Systems (SBS) branch in Seattle, WA. SIICA purchased Redmond-based First Choice Business Machines to launch Sharp Business Systems in the Seattle area, serving the Puget Sound marketplace.

Sharp, A Pioneer Among Copier Vendors on the A4 Frontier

June 18, 2008 - At its annual dealer meeting held last month in Orlando, Sharp announced a wide range of upcoming hardware products along with the next-generation of its OSA development platform, and demonstrated numerous software solutions from its development partners.

The “Next Frontier” theme of this year’s meeting refers to the “next frontier of opportunity” for dealers, including the market for letter/legal multifunction products, commonly referred to as A4 products. Along with the many ledger-size (A3) models announced at the meeting, Sharp announced 18 A4 MFPs and printers—referred to by the company as the “Frontier” series—that will be introduced over a six-month period beginning in the third quarter.
